Memorial Away for the Weekend at UPEI and Acadia

The Memorial Sea-Hawks (4-3-1) will look to continue their winning ways when they step back onto the field this weekend versus the UPEI Panthers (3-3-3) and the Acadia Axe-Men (1-8-1).

The Sea-Hawks have been led by their offensive firepower this season, forward Emmanuel Dolo (8G, 6A) has been a consistent offensive force in seemingly every match, his 14 points rank tops in the AUS and second in the nation. On the other side of the Sea-Hawks dynamic duo is forward Jacob Grant (4G, 2A), he enjoyed a 3-goal weekend a few weeks ago, propelling the Sea-Hawks to consecutive victories versus UNB. Not to be forgotten is second-year goalkeeper Dylan Crichton, who's played all 720 minutes of the Sea-Hawks season to date and boasts a 0.750 save percentage with 2 clean sheets. After a successful weekend of action in their last slate of games, Crichton offered his thoughts on the team's mindset heading into the Sea-Hawks upcoming road trip: "these two games are very important and for us and we want to take advantage and get 2 wins". This match will be crucial for the Sea-Hawks and the Panthers, both teams are separated by 1 point in the standings.

On Friday night, October 22nd  at 7:15 PM ADT, the Sea-Hawks will face the 8th place Panthers who are one of the better defensive teams in all of the AUS, their 10 goals conceded so far this season rank them 4th and should help alter the Sea-Hawks high-flying attack. The Panthers offence is led by Samuel Akinsola (4G, 1A) who holds the team lead in goals and is one of the driving forces behind the Panthers offence. A welcomed addition, and one of the players to watch on the Panthers side is freshman midfielder Kasper Lasia (2G, 2A), his 14 shots lead the team and he's a consistent presence in the middle of the field. One of the keys to the Panthers defensive success has been the play of goalkeeper Evan Couturier, the second-year keeper has an AUS leading 4 shutouts and his 1.13 goals against average ranks 4th.

To conclude their weekend series, the Sea-Hawks will head into Wolfville, Nova Scotia to face the Acadia Axemen at 2:45 PM ADT, on Sunday, October 24th. The Axemen started off the season with a couple of lopsided defeats, but ever since then they've been a reinvigorated team that isn't conceding much offence. In their last four matches, the Axemen haven't conceded more than 1 goal, their new defensive focus will look to stifle any chances from the Sea-Hawks. The play of goalkeeper Michael O'Flynn has improved along with the team, he boasts a save percentage of 0.732 and a goals against average of 1.57. The Axemen are led offensively by forward Zane Brennan (3G, 1A) and midfielder Joe Iatrou (3G), these two have scored 6 of the team's 8 goals this season, they will be relied upon heavily in Sunday's match.
