Another Strong Showing for Sea-Hawks Swimmers

The Memorial Sea-Hawks concluded their season this weekend in Toronto, Ontario at the 2018 U Sports Swimming Championships.  This season Memorial had five swimmers qualify for the Nationals. Sam Leawood (Mount Pearl, NL), Jasmine Foran (Bathurst, NB), Veronica Reid (Williams Lake, BC), Allison Somers (Carbonear, NL), and Laura Pittman (St. John's, NL)

While the Sea-Hawks didn't capture any medals this weekend, it was another strong season for the team, having qualified the most swimmers for the National Championships in over 30 years.  They also qualified two swimmers for A Finals on the final day of competition.  Jasmine Foran claimed 7th spot (32:46), while Veronica Reid followed in 8th place (32:86), in the women's 50m Breaststroke.
