Sea-Hawks open season with strong performances

The Sea-Hawks attended their first AUS swim meet of the season this past weekend in Halifax, NS, as Dalhousie hosted the 2nd Annual Kemp Fry Invitational.  Memorial finished the weekend with positive results from many swimmers, which include multiple qualifying times for the U Sports championships taking place in February.

Day two was another successful day for LeBlanc as she won the 50m freestyle final. She also qualified for the U Sport championships in the 50m backstroke, as did teammate Veronica Reid in the 100m backstroke.

The Sea-Hawks received their first male U Sports qualifying time from David Haines who placed third in the 200m backstroke to also punch his ticket to the championships in February.
