Cross Country team racing in Halifax this weekend
The Memorial cross-country teams will travel to Halifax to participate in the Dalhousie-Saint Mary’s AUS Invitational meet.
The women’s cross country team will be made up of Amanda Wilkins, Jessica Besaw, Justine O’Leary, Stephanie Pomeroy, Emily Hickey and Amber Jones. Caroline McIlroy will be unavailable to compete this weekend but will be racing in the AUS Championship on October 26th. Rookie Alana Loveys will also be unable to travel due to injury.
The men’s team will consist of Jordan Fewer (pictured on right), Connor Bolton, Mark Shea, Jon Allan, Michael Scott, Stephen Pike, Daniel Conway, and Brian Harnett. Mark Hayward and Rudy Riedlsperger will be unavailable this weekend due to academic obligations but both will be back at the AUS Championship.
The women’s race will be six kilometers and will begin at noon while the men will race eight kilometers and will start at 12:45 p.m.
