Team Thomas ready to represent Memorial
The Memorial men's curling team will be off to compete at the 2013 Atlantic University Curling Championship in Halifax this weekend. Four teams will be competing at the bonspiel including the Memorial team that features four members of the 2011 CIS Championship team.
The Sea-Hawks will include skip Colin Thomas, mate Cory Schuh, second Chris Ford, lead Spencer Wicks and coach Jeff Thomas. The other teams at the bonspiel will be Acadia, Saint Mary's and Dalhousie.
Memorial's first competition will be against Saint Mary's. The Huskies will be skipped by Kendall Thompson. The start time of the first draw will be 9:30 p.m. on Friday night.
The tournament will feature three draws with the second draw taking place Saturday at 2:30pm and the final 7:30pm in the Saturday evening draw. The wining team will advance to the 2013 CIS Curling Championship March 20-24 hosted by Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops.
