Sea-Hawks battle for split with Moncton
The Sea-Hawks women’s volleyball team earned a weekend split on Sunday after losing their home opener on Saturday night against the Moncton Aigles Bleues in AUS women’s volleyball at the Field House. Moncton took the opener 3-0 while the Sea-Hawks won 3-2 on Sunday.

The visiting Moncton Aigles Bleues silenced the home crowd as they defeated Memorial in straight sets in the Sea-Hawks home opener in AUS women’s volleyball action on Saturday evening.
Set scores were 25-15, 25-20, and 25-19.
The players of the match were Sigourney Stott for Moncton and third year left side Krista Hogan for Memorial.

The Memorial Sea-Hawks notched their first win of the season, defeating the Moncton Aigles Bleues in five sets, at the Field House Sunday.
The set scores of the match were 25-12, 25-27, 25-15, 25-27, 15-7.
Fourth year left side Sam March led Memorial in the win with 11 kills and 15 digs. Senior middle Angela Peddle also had 11 kills for the Sea-Hawks. Krista Hogan added 8 kills and 15 digs while setter Kirsten Sorensen had 36 assists.
Joline Richard led Moncton with 8 kills and 11 digs in the loss.
March was the player of the game for Memorial while Maxine Alie Poirier was the player of the game for Moncton.
The win improved Memorial to 1-5.
The Sea-Hawks will travel to Wolfville on November 16 and 17 for a series against the Acadia Axewomen.
Moncton fell to 2-4 with the loss.
