Swimming
The Memorial swimmers battled in the pool with the University of
Lethbridge Pronghorns in Alberta this weekend with both of the
women’s and men’s dual meets coming down to the final
relay.
The women got out in front of the Pronghorns with a win in the
opening 4X100m freestyle relay. Lethbridge took their first lead
after a strong performance in the four 100m individual events. It
was the Sea~Hawks Dayna Hogan who would come up with big victories
in the 200m individual medley and the 400m freestyle to put
Memorial back in contention. The Sea~Hawks later surged forward
with a sweep of points in the 50m free with Kelsie Rogers, Kelsey
Alexander and Hogan placing one, two, three. This sweep put
Memorial down a point heading into the final 4X100m medley, which
Lethbridge would win, taking the dual meet 56 to 48.
Sophomore swimmers Rogers and Hogan led the way with two first
