Tigers spoil Sea-Hawks home opener

The Memorial men’s volleyball team lost both of their home opening matches to the undefeated Dalhousie Tigers this weekend at the Field House by scores of 3-0.

Saturday Dalhousie 3 Memorial 0

The Dalhousie Tigers spoiled the Memorial Sea-Hawks home opener with a straight set victory on Saturday night at the Field House. Set scores were 25-19, 25-22, and 25-16.


Kristen O’Brien had 9 kills and 7 digs to lead the Tigers to victory. Jonathan MacDonald had 25 assists for Dalhousie.


Senior middle Nathan Tilley led the Sea-Hawks with 9 kills in the loss. The players of the game were Josh Ennis for Memorial and MacDonald for Dalhousie.



Sunday Dalhousie 3 Memorial 0

For the second straight day the Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Memorial Sea-Hawks 3-0 in AUS men’s volleyball action at the Field House.


Nathan TilleySet scores were 25-19, 25-13 and 25-17.


Kristen O’Brien and Bryan Duquette each had a game-high 10 kills in the win for Dalhousie.


Nathan Tilley had 9 kills to lead Memorial. Kevin Delahunt and Nick Hann each had 6 digs.


The player of the game for Dalhousie was Logan Baillie. Dalhousie is now 5-0 on the season.


Memorial fell to 0-5 after the weekend. The Sea-Hawks will travel to Fredericton for a pair of games November 9th and 10th.
