Caroline McIlroy is the athlete of the week for her race-winning performance at the StFX Invitational cross country meet on Saturday in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. McIlroy, an AUS all-star the past two seasons, won the six-kilometre race with an impressive time of 21:58. The time was 22 seconds faster than the next finisher. After two kilometres McIlroy took a lead that she would not relinquish.

Jordan Fewer is the male athlete of the week for his top 10 finish at Saturday’s StFX Invitational. Fewer’s tenth place time of 27:04 across the eight-kilometre course led the Sea-Hawk men to a third place podium finish at the race.
The native of Chapel’s Cove was an AUS all-star in 2011 and has returned to the cross country team this season after a year away from the program.
