MacDonald and Forsey Athletes of the Week
Cross Country runner Graham MacDonald and basketball player Ally Forsey are the Memorial University Subway Athletes of the Week for the period ending October 7th, 2012.

Ally Forsey, a 6'2 post on the Memorial women's basketball team, had a good start to the pre-season, scoring 32 points in only 36 minutes of play, in the Sea~Hawks weekend sweep of Concordia in CIS exhibition basketball at the Field House. Forsey added 15 rebounds on the weekend. The St. John's native should be a force in the paint for Memorial this season in her fifth and final year of varsity competition.

Graham MacDonald, a second year Master of Science student and varsity cross country runner, edged out St. FX's Riley Johnston to win the Acadia Invitational on a wet, soggy Saturday at Acadia. He won with a time of 27:30 over the 8 km course on the trails and fields of the Wolfville Dykelands. MacDonald was the top finisher in the field of 35 that included runners from seven AUS universities. MacDonald was the lone Sea-Hawk in the field as he opted to compete while visiting family in Halifax for the Thanksgiving weekend. Graham was also the recipient of the AUS Subway Athlete of the Week for his performance.
