Subway Athletes of the week for Jan 30-Feb5

Emily Jameson and Colin Thomas have been named Sea~Hawks Subway Athlete of the Week.

Women's Basketball

Major: Business

Emily had a well rounded game taking on the UPEI Panthers on Saturday and a breakout game on Sunday. Playing 46/55 minutes in a triple overtime win, Emily managed 25 points, and 9 rebounds. Emily is not only continuing to prove herself as a threat on the court but as a triple threat student with an 80 average. Congratulations Emily on being named the Sea~Hawks Subway athlete of the week.

Men's Curling

Major: Commerce

This past week Team Thomas (Team Memorial) travelled to Karuizawa, Japan, where skip, Colin Thomas, lead his team to a silver medal finish in an extra end. Colin was a leader for the team all week on and off the ice. Colin and his team show great promise and should give Brad Gushue a tussle in future years as they fight for supremacy in their home province of Newfoundland. We would like to congratulate Colin Thomas on being named the Sea~Hawks Subway athlete of the week.
