Sea-Hawks basketball teams face tough Dalhousie Tigers on home opening weekend

The top ranked Dalhousie Tigers provided some upsets for the Sea-Hawks on Saturday defeating the women 80-74 in overtime and the men 69-66. On Sunday the women were able to split the weekend with a 68-57 victory, while the men fell 81-72. [Read more]

The women went on to play in the consolation round on Friday and lost 2-0 to the Western Mustangs. (Oct. 19, 2014) The Memorial soccer teams competed against Mount Allison in their final home series of the season this weekend at King George the Vth Park. The women’s team swept Mount Allison 4-0 on Saturday before earning a 4-1 victory on Sunday. The wins earn them a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. The men’s team lost 1-0 on Saturday and picked up a 1-0 victory over the Mounties on Sunday. [Read more]

(Sept. 7, 2014) The Memorial Sea-Hawks put a tough weekend to a close as they hosted the UNB Varsity Reds. Saturday saw a goal late in the women's game, earning the Varsity Reds a 1-0 victory over the Sea-Hawks. On Sunday UNB took the women down for the second time with a 2-1 win. In Saturday's men's game, the Varisty Reds defeated the Sea-Hawks 4-0. Sunday saw an improvement from the men but Memorial were beat 2-1 late in the game. [Read more]

Shooting guard Christian Greenland of St. John’s has committed to Memorial for next season. Greenland, a 6’4, 225 lb shooting guard from Gonzaga High School will join the Sea~Hawks following graduation this spring bringing a shooting range that should stretch the floor for Memorial.
