Kelsey Moore excited to play at home

 (June 26, 2015) Kelsey Moore, a 5’9 guard, had a fantastic high school career in St. John’s, NL playing for Booth Memorial, where she led her team to back to back AAAA provincial titles, in 2014 and 2015. She has won a number All Star and MVP awards. Kelsey also represented her province on the national stage for the past four summers playing on the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial team; most notably, during the summer of 2013 when she represented her province at the Canada Games, in Sherbrooke, Quebec. The Cape Breton Capers provided upsets for the Sea-Hawks on Sunday defeating the women 70-65 and the men 86-83. Monday saw another tough game for the women who were defeated 61-45, while the men took their first win of 2015 with a 21 point victory. [Read more]

Sea-Hawks basketball teams face tough Dalhousie Tigers on home opening weekend

The top ranked Dalhousie Tigers provided some upsets for the Sea-Hawks on Saturday defeating the women 80-74 in overtime and the men 69-66. On Sunday the women were able to split the weekend with a 68-57 victory, while the men fell 81-72. [Read more]

Memorial's women's soccer team finish up season at CIS championships

The women went on to play in the consolation round on Friday and lost 2-0 to the Western Mustangs. (Sept. 7, 2014) The Memorial Sea-Hawks put a tough weekend to a close as they hosted the UNB Varsity Reds. Saturday saw a goal late in the women's game, earning the Varsity Reds a 1-0 victory over the Sea-Hawks. On Sunday UNB took the women down for the second time with a 2-1 win. In Saturday's men's game, the Varisty Reds defeated the Sea-Hawks 4-0. Sunday saw an improvement from the men but Memorial were beat 2-1 late in the game. [Read more]
