Sea-Hawks Soccer pre-game tailgate party Saturday

The Sea-Hawks will host a pre-game tailgate party at noon on Saturday at King George the Vth field. The event will feature live entertainment from the Rolling Kings, BBQ and Sammy the Sea-Hawk. Everyone through the gate will also receive a free cowbell. Faculty, staff and students will receive free admission.

The women's soccer game will begin at 1pm when the Sea-Hawks host the St. FX X-Women. The women's soccer team is in the thick of the AUS playoff race and will need the home field support to come away this weekend with two big wins.

At halftime the Memorial University residence mascots will converge on King George the Vth for the Out Move Sammy competition. The winning residence house, club or society will be awarded a $1000 prize at halftime of the women's soccer game on Saturday. The contest is a mascot dance competition against Sammy the Sea-Hawk.

The men's soccer team will play St. FX at 3:15pm. The weekend series marks the last home games in the varsity careers of Chris Pope and Jeff Slaney. At halftime the Build a Sub Challenge will see two teams compete against each other to see who can make a Subway sandwich the fastest.
