Pwned is often prounounced owned and usually is used as a taunt/comeback in a friendly, joking way.
What is Pwned in 60 seconds?
Pwned in 60 seconds is a new MUNdays event that will team a representative from Memorial's residence houses, clubs and/or societies with Memorial Sea~Hawks to participate in a variety of demanding challenges with a sixty second time limit. For example, in the Caddy Stack Challenge a group will have 60 seconds to stack three golf balls on top of each other.
Rules
- Each group (residence house, club or society) will only have one representative in the challenge who must register by Thursday, Oct. 21.
- Each group representative will be matched with a Sea~Hawk varsity athlete
- Each team will require a male and female participant. If a group elects to use a female representative then a male Sea~Hawk will be paired with them and vice versa.
- No team member will be able to complete back-to-back challenges. The team members must alternate.
- If a team is unable to successfully complete a challenge then they will be eliminated from the competition
- The winning team will be the last remaining team. If after 30 minutes multiple teams remain in the competition then a relay will be used to determine the winner.
- The winner will receive a Sea~Hawks basketball gift package for the house that includes 20 tickets and 20 t-shirts for the basketball game of their choice this season (approx. value of $400) and a $200 gift certificate to Chartwell's.
Registration
- Register by Thursday, Oct. 21 by e-mail to John Harvey at jdharvey@mun.ca
- Include the name of the competitor, what group they represent, their nickname, and how they were selected to represent their group.
